At a thickness of 25-30 mils, the plastic coating prevents corrosion from damaging the metal base of the bench. The thermoplastic coating can be easily repaired if damaged: heat the spot with an industrial heat gun, and the thermoplastic will melt and rebind itself. Sports benches are available in portable models, as in-ground mounted (for grass or soil) or as surface mounted (for concrete). Benches are perfect for both hot and humid environments.
