Well we experienced a very pleasant surprise this past week. It was not altogether shocking, since we know what we do and what we sell but a reminder nonetheless that it's pretty cool stuff worthy of high-brow society!
Our HR extraordinaire, Andrea Bradford, decided to spend a day at the Utah Parade of Homes. Now for those of you who are not familiar, the Parade of Homes is an event held here in different Utah counties where impressive homes are made available to walk through on the weekends to see cool architectural and decorating ideas in real life.
Think of it as kind of a "DIY episode" in your hometown where you can go see it. And as she strolled through these million dollar homes, one thing in particular jumped out at her...
It was kid lockers. And not just any ordinary kid lockers--but OUR Jorgenson brand and SchoolLockers brand kid lockers!
Just so you know this wasn't some little run-of-the-mill house, Andrea took the time to snap a photo of the floor plan with the camera in her phone.
Impressive home, isn't it? We sure thought so and that is why it was REALLY COOL when she saw this in one of the kid's rooms!
As you can see in the above photo, this family took one of our mini kid lockers and placed it next to the bed as a nightstand. This is a cool and inexpensive way to give your child a nightstand but with locking capabilities as well. Not only that, but since these are made from a heavy gauge steel, they will be able to stand up to the abuse any kid can dish out.
Not only that, but they bought one of the stadium designed kid lockers (also in black) and placed it in the other end of the room. After all, what better way to create a really great themed-room than using kid lockers for actual furniture!
Then they went EVEN further by buying a real aluminum locker room bench for the room to add that extra coolness to the room! (see it above in the lower right corner, nearly touching the kids stadium locker?)
She then wandered into what appeared to be a girl's room and there, in the closet, was this SchoolLockers.com pink kid locker!
We aren't sure why it was in the closet, but since it was ordered in the bright pink color we know little girls love, we think that because the house is so new that perhaps they were preparing to do another themed room but this time for a girl.
As you can tell, adding kid lockers to their rooms truly enhances a theme and definitely adds those vibrant accent colors families are so fond of these days!
