A boy's room can be a certified disaster area. There is no doubt to that! Face it, we've all had our share of trying to pick up after playing when they "explode" in their rooms or haphazardly drop their toys on the floor. And since most of those toys can sometimes be hidden under unsuspecting layers of clothing, odds are you've stepped on a few unpleasant things over the years now, haven't you?
We have a solution.
First imagine if--and this may be a bit of a stretch here--that these same boys really don't clean their rooms up too often? (Yes. We told you that may be a stretch of the imagination!) How, as a parent, do you find ways to motivate them to clean up after themselves, because you are tired of stepping through their rooms as if they were minefields? Well here is a cool list of ways to help organize your boy's rooms by adding lockers to the mix!
If you have boys, then you know odds are pretty high that they have the same favorite sports team as their father. If not, then their school friends have favorite teams...basically whatever the team, here is how you can motivate your son to pick up after himself, and save you not only trips to the ER after you step on Legos, action figures and other painful toys not meant for feet.
A simple, easy and cool way is to find a locker on sale, then install it in their room. Yep! Right there, in their room!
By creating a space for your sons to stuff their treasured belongings into, only benefits both parent (clean room) and kid (Mom/dad doesn't know I simply crammed it all into the locker)....plus we've found that by using kids lockers, you can actually let the boys feel as though they are "getting away with something" since if they cram all that stuff inside the locker, it still appears as though the room is clean. It's a win-win situation; trust us.

Remember our big Black Friday sale is approaching, so if you are tired of the clutter, afraid of going into your son's room without an avalanche beacon, or are logging in to the local hospital all too frequently with foot injuries from stepping on dinosaurs, Hot Wheel cars or the sharp ends of those pesky and painful Legos (yes, we've all done it) and see an idea here that is worth looking into, please bookmark this page.
...And as always if you have a good home improvement idea that involves lockers in the home, we look forward to seeing your input on our comment page as well!
