UPDATE: Inexpensive Kids Mini Locker Make GREAT Fundraising Auction Items

"We are slowly getting more and more orders for this kind of thing," said SchoolLockers.com Social Media Manager Chance Cook.  "But of course mostly people just buy them as is, assemble them upon arrival and then auction them off them for this purpose.  Rarely do we see the extent of work, sheer creativity and resourcefulness that Kathy Cartwright and her group of volunteers put into them."

As you read in an earlier post, Kathy Cartwright is in charge of one of the largest fundraising efforts that the St. Mark's Private School holds each year, and a few years back she discovered SchoolLockers.com and our line of kids lockers--she hasn't gone anywhere else, since.

“Our biggest fundraiser for St. Mark’s private school is our Fall Fiesta which occurs the first weekend in October every year. This has been going on for at least ten years since I have been there,” Cartwright explains. “And I’ve been on the St Marks Board so I’ve been in charge of the furniture over the last five years.”

Ms Cartwright is a member of the St. Mark’s Private School PSC Board.  She has previously served in the capacity of president, vice president and is currently the treasurer. Well what she does with these lockers is nothing less than very, very impressive.  Take this year's auctioned white kid locker for example:

As you can see, the St. Marks volunteer who was assigned (and eagerly volunteered) to decorate the brand new kid locker was kind of a big fan of the private school!  :)  Using photos of the student athletics, she created the ultimate St Marks Kids Locker--showcasing the St. Mark Lions in action on the field and on the court.  A truly impressive and eye-catching display for the auction.

"Both the kids locker and kids mini lockers make these simply great platforms for any religious, civic or school organization's fundraising auction," said Cook.  "They are colorful, which helps draw prospective bidders' attention to them and with so much room inside and on the walls, you can add just about any theme or gift certificate and other added value items to it as well."

Kathy recently sent us photos of several of the kid lockers and kids mini lockers that she used this year for her auction.  She also shared with us that each of these lockers was auctioned off at anywhere between $500 and $1,000 dollars--with very satisfied bidders leaving the event once it was concluded.

Now the green kid locker you see above with the chandelier and all the other cool 'bling' was auctioned off for a cool $1,000!

"This was a very colorful example of what you can do with a kid locker," added Cook.  "As you can see it comes 'ready to go' with all the mirrors, whiteboards, wallpaper and other magnetic flowers and stickers you could ever need."

Here are some photos of the finished products of the kids mini lockers that Cartwright used this year:

As you can see, a kids mini locker make PERFECT auction item platforms, having all of the bright, vivid colors and you don't have to add lots and lots of items to make it JUMP OUT at the bidder!
