This scholarship is tailored to any student either currently enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, in a full programs of study as a high school senior, or student with current enrollment at a university or community college. Eligible applicants will also be U.S. citizens (born or naturalized), nationals or lawful permanent residents.
Videos
Show us how in a video! Film can move people dramatically and profoundly. Create and produce an entertaining and inspiring video, showing us how you would use the locker choices in some humanitarian way that would help your community become a better place. Videos should only be four minutes in length and should accurately convey the message your idea
Essays
Show us the pen is mighty! Write down the detailed plan you have involving the locker choices and how you would use them to make someone’s life easier and the humanitarian way that would help your community become a better place as a whole. Include any statistics or other relevant information you feel would be beneficial. Essays should only be 900 words maximum, and have a minimum of 500 words.
Photographs
If done correctly, a picture can be worth a thousand words! Use your eye to capture what your idea would be to help your community become a better place by using the locker choices we have provided. Find and capture a compelling image that inspires others to see your vision and how your idea can help those in the photo’s subject matter.
Infographics
Put your creativity to use and conceptualize research and create an infographic that encapsulates your idea and the statistics of those helped by utilizing your choice of lockers that would help your community. Creating a compelling infographic combines empirical research with eye-catching and artistic creativity and can be a very powerful tool to convey your idea to others
Music Recordings
Let your talents be heard! Compose a catchy tune or song that inspires others to join your vision of what any of these lockers can do to help a community or the people who live and visit there. We won’t be awarding on having the most clean and professional sound, but put more emphasis upon the lyrics and creative talent shown in composing the underlying music.
Other
Blaze your own creative trail! If we haven’t written it down here, and your creativity knows of a way you can share your vision and idea of what these locker choices can do to better a community, then you are free to truly take an uncharted course and show us! Original thinking always is a good thing, but we admit this will require a lot of that creativity on your behalf but it could truly stand out among the competitors.

Applicants must be:
- Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the United States (or select DoD schools)
- U.S. Citizens; U.S. Nationals; U.S. Permanent Residents; Refugees; Asylees; Cuban-Haitian Entrants; or Humanitarian Parolees
- Anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application
- Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution
- Carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA at the end of their junior year of high school
Applicants may not:

The SchoolLockers.com Humanitarian Scholarship
General Scholarship Information:
SchoolLockers.com is the largest supplier of lockers in the country. Being in this unique position, we work a lot with high school and college campuses and the students who use our lockers. The owners at SchoolLockers.com recognizes the value of an education. This scholarship awards students based on their ability to take an abstract idea regarding freedom and conceptualize it into. We believe each and every student has unique talents and gifts, regardless of where, when or how an individual's passions, life experiences and circumstances led them to obtaining a higher education.
Eligibility Requirements:
Submit a video, essay, photograph, infographic or song on "How A Locker Can Change The World."
The winner selected based on the merits of their entry will receive $400 to be put towards educational expenses, as well as a brand new locker for their apartment or dorm room to keep their stuff organized!
Who qualifies: This scholarship is tailored to any student either currently enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, in a full programs of study as a high school senior, or student with current enrollment at a university or community college. Eligible applicants will also be U.S. citizens (born or naturalized), nationals or lawful permanent residents. There is NO application fee.
Guidelines Entries:
Choose from any of the lockers found at: SCHOOLLOCKERS.COM/LOCKEREXAMPLES Then using one of these styles of lockers, describe a way in which you would use one or more of these lockers to change someone's life, improve a community, help provide a benefit for the fight against poverty, or transform any other humanitarian aspect for the better.
Written responses and entries must be the applicant's original work. High marks will be given for those applicants who demonstrate a unique ability to 'think outside the box' and come up with truly new and innovative ways for a locker to provide a humanitarian improvement to society in general. Plagiarism in any form will disqualify you from this and any future SchoolLockers.com Scholarship opportunities. Our staff will review each entry and test random parts of the work for evidence of plagiarism.
Deadline: Midnight December 15, 2014 and midnight June 15, 2015. Two scholarships are awarded per calendar year for $400 each. Awards announced each January 15 (winter scholarship) and July 15 (summer scholarship), annually.
To apply for this scholarship, you will need to write on; "How A Locker Can Change The World". Then your submission (video, essay, photograph, infographic or song), must be entitled "How A Locker Can Change The World" and then be sent as an attachment, by email to: scholarships@Jorgensoncompanies.com. In order to qualify it must be received no later than Midnight June 15, 2015 (Summer Contest) and midnight December 15, 2015 (Winter Contest). Each applicant must also include their name, phone numbers, email and other contact information. Each award will be presented by a SchoolLockers.com representative to the winner that is selected, and their essay is posted upon SchoolLockers.com's official company blog.
