Shipping Information

All merchandise is sold F.O.B. our factories or distribution centers. All of our shipments go common carrier. Due to our high volumes of shipments, our freight carriers offer us large discounts. We pass these savings on to you. All shipments are sent the most cost effective way with tailgate delivery to any commercial location on a commercial truck route. Customers with special relationships or contracts with carriers who would prefer to use those carriers, can supply us with the name of the carrier, carrier phone number, and an account number. The freight carrier will deliver your shipment during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday) and the truck driver is under no obligation to help you unload. If you are unable to accept a shipment via this method you must select additional accessorial services for an additional charge.

Order Tracking Go to top
We will send you an email to let you know when your order has been shipped. Included in your email will be a tracking number for your shipment and contact information for the carrier. We encourage you to track your package online or on the phone with the carrier. Freight carriers will provide an estimated time of arrival. And, you can always contact us with questions regarding progress of your shipment.

Canada shipments Go to top
Canadian shipments require the services of a broker and are typically arranged by our Canadian customers with their current broker. We can arrange to include the broker fees if you are not familiar with this process, it is quite simple and requires a nominal fee. The nominal broker fee is determined by weight, destination and freight class of the product being shipped. If you would like us to arrange and include the applicable broker and tax fees, please call Josh at 1-800-952-0151 ext 376 for your specific additional broker fees. NOTE: We will need your nine digit Canadian GST (Goods & Services Tax Id) number to make the necessary arrangements.

Freight Pricing Go to top
Freight charges are added to the material cost. Using the total weight of the order and your zip code, we calculate a firm shipping price. With more than 24 distribution centers throughout the country, and great volume discounts, our freight charges will be as minimal as possible.

Freight companies update pricing frequently as fuel prices fluctuate; therefore, all pricing is estimated and subject to change without notice. Pricing included in our quotations typically includes business shipping for less than truckloads (LTL) shipments via a motor freight carrier to a commercial location. If you require additional services see Accessorial Shipping Services for more information.

Freight on Board (FOB) Go to top
Listed FOB points indicate where your product will most likely ship from. At times, we may ship from an alternate warehouse to get the best possible freight rate. We typically ship FOB point of origin, which means that once your product is loaded on the truck, you have title to the product, and are responsible for shipping charges and any freight claims. Should damage occur, you must make application directly to the freight carrier for adjustment. We are not liable for items damaged or lost in transit.

To protect your interests, we strongly suggest that you inspect your items before accepting delivery. If the product is damaged, or if there is any reason for you to be concerned about damage, please write “PRODUCT DAMAGED” clearly on the sheet that you are asked to sign by the freight carrier. Freight carriers will not accept damage claims once products are delivered and accepted by the customer’s signing of the delivery receipt.

In case of shortages, note on the carrier’s paperwork “SHIPMENT RECEIVED SHORT.” If a shortage is not discovered upon receipt from the freight carrier, a claim of loss cannot be filed. Claims for damages and/or shortages, concealed or otherwise, must be filed directly with the carrier. If shortages and/or damages are not noted at the time of delivery, you will be charged for any needed replacements. Should we be notified or shortages of claims within 5-days of arrival, we will assist you with replacements and the claim filing process.

Small Parcel Shipping Go to top
We ship small, light items via UPS. As a general rule, small parcel shipments must weigh less than 150-pounds and measure less than 108” in length and less than 165” in length and girth combined. We do not require an adult signature for deliveries. Leaving your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with “no signature required.” Be sure to include your name and tracking number on the note. This applies to UPS only.

Business/Commercial Shipping Go to top
Most of the items we sell are too large or too heavy to ship using a small parcel carrier. Therefore, our best option is to ship using a common carrier. Business shipping via truck freight is different than standard UPS, FedEx or US Mail in that you will be responsible for carrying the product from the back of the truck into your facility. The freight driver is under no obligation to help you unload. The most important thing to remember about truck freight is that you must inspect the package at the time of delivery because you are responsible for filing any freight claim for damage or shortages.

If you are ordering a large item, or a large quantity of items, you may need to arrange for people to help you unload it. Large items, and/or large quantities of items, are frequently shipped on banded pallets wrapped in plastic. It is your obligation to remove packaging, pallets, banding and products from the truck. Please make sure that proper equipment is on-site to unload your products. A common truck freight carrier allows 15-30 minutes for unloading. A transport broker will allow up to 1 hour to unload an LTL shipment and up to 2 hours to unload a full truckload (for large orders). You will be invoiced by the freight carrier at an hourly rate if unloading takes longer than the time allotted.

The delivery dates and times of LTL shipments or even dedicated loads cannot be guaranteed. We will work with the carrier to do what we can to meet a requested delivery schedule, but delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control or that of the carrier.

Residential or School Delivery Go to top
If the ship to address is not a commercial location or is not on a commercial truck route you must select Residential or School Delivery. This includes deliveries to schools, residential locations and home based businesses. The method is just like Business Shipping, except that for school and residential deliveries, you will be contacted by the shipping carrier to schedule a delivery appointment. Most companies offer appointment windows (usually 2-4 hours) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday. As with business shipping, your products may arrive on a pallet, banded and wrapped in plastic. It is your responsibility to unload your purchased products, along with any packaging, from back of the truck. The freight company’s driver is under no obligation to assist you with unloading. Please contact our customer service department at (877) 952-0151 with any questions you have.

Liftgate Service Go to top
All freight rates quoted are for tailgate delivery. It is your responsibility to have personnel and/or equipment necessary to unload purchased materials. If you need to have purchased materials unloaded from the truck, you must select Liftgate Service and the trucking company will unload the purchased materials from the truck. This means that they will move the purchased materials from the truck to the ground so that you can move the materials to the location of your choice. The trucking company personnel will not move purchased materials inside your facility or transport them to another location. If you need the material moved inside, you must select Inside Delivery.

Inside Delivery Go to top
If you need to have your purchased materials delivered inside your facility, garage or home, you must select Inside Delivery. Freight carrier personnel will move the purchased materials from the truck and place them inside your facility. This means that they will deliver the purchased materials inside the first available door (as determined by the delivery driver). They will not transport purchased materials up stairs or in elevators and they are not obligated to place purchased items in the room of your choice.

Notify Before Delivery Go to top
If you need to schedule an appointment for delivery we can have the freight carrier contact you 24-hours in advance for a nominal fee.

Construction Site Delivery Go to top

The charge assessed for this service includes initial notification to arrange an agreed delivery time.

Limited Access Delivery Go to top
If the ship to address is a commercial location but is not a commercially zoned area or is an area that commercial trucks do not normally deliver to, you must select limited access delivery. This generally includes deliveries to military bases and government facilities, tradeshows, and residential or commercial areas where narrow or excessively crowded streets prevent semi truck access and egress.

International Shipping Go to top
If you are ordering from Canada, Mexico, or other locations outside the United States, there will be additional shipping fees not reflected during the checkout process. If you do not have a freight broker, we can make arrangements and include the required broker fees for you. Freight cost is determined by weight, destination and class. You can also call our customer service department at (877) 952-0151.
