What would you do with your money and time to make a difference?
Take this inspiring story for example. Gatorade and Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat decided to make a difference for a high school basketball team. It wasn’t enough for him to show up in person, but Gatorade decided to shell out a few bucks and give the team a real, professional looking locker room what many high schools only dream of—let alone have when they return at the end of the game...

Meet the Riverdale Rebels of New Orleans. In their effort to make it into the playoffs and think about what you could do with some money, and a bit of time--well Gatorade did just that!
Like the coach in the video link said; “The life lesson that is taken away from here today is that if you work hard, good things happen to you.”
Think about that for a moment. If you work hard, good things will happen to you.
That is indeed a life lesson—one which in today’s society of instant gratification, entitlements and the lack of work ethic which is so often found these days, is an idea that is hard to teach.

…Then spread this story around to help inspire kids around you. They don’t need to play basketball, or any other sport for that matter. They just have to be in the pursuit of a goal, and understand that like this basketball team, their efforts, sacrifice and the time they spent in pursuit of this goal would pay off—perhaps not in a championship, or a new, unexpected locker room makeover; but in the fact they have worked hard to achieve a goal.
All of us at SchoolLockers.com think this is a pretty cool deal seeing as how most large corporate sponsors throw their money at these big name sports figures who can sell their products which range from expensive athletic shoes to nutrition bars and protein drinks.
Rather than do that, Gatorade, which is perhaps one the largest and most respected sports industry related companies, decided to do something that would have an even more dramatic impact by inspiring several generations of kids that will use these very same lockers that Gatorade installed for the Riverdale Rebels.
