There’s almost nothing in the world we like better than lockers…well, except when our lockers are able to help further a good cause!
We had the opportunity a couple of months ago to donate one of our Kids Team Lockers to the Tri-City Education Foundation, a non-profit corporation formed to provide financial support for the Tri-City Schools (Tri-City Elementary, Tri-City Junior High School and Tri-City High School) in Buffalo, Illinois. Every year, the Foundation hosts a dinner and silent auction.
“The purpose of the auction [is] to raise money for educational materials in our K-12 district,” explains Kara Cummins, principal of Tri-City Elementary. “The funds go directly back to the classrooms to benefit our students.”
The kids locker we donated was included as part of a Chicago Bears-themed basket, which included a poster and wall décor.

The auction was held on March 28, 2015 and was a big success! More than $24,000 was raised throughout the evening, and the winning bid for our locker/Chicago Bears basket was more than $350! We’re grateful to have played a small role in helping raise money for such a deserving cause—what better reason is there than to help give children a better education?
